Nick's Fish The Pearl Of Seafood In The Royal County

The Meath Echo - Issue 89 02-15 Feb 2009

Nick’s Fish of Ashbourne, Meath’s seafood specialist continues to go from strength to strength having retained their membership of the highly regarded Bord Iascaigh Mhara (BIM), the Irish Sea Fisheries Board Seafood Circle programme. Now the sole business in Co. Meath to hold the coveted membership, the inclusion of Nick’s Fish demonstrates their dedication to unwaveringly high standards as BIM’s Seafood Circle recognises and awards hospitality and retail businesses that consistently deliver only the highest standards of seafood and service. The success and growing recognition of the programme is clear from the continued growth in membership nationwide. BIM awarded 23 new memberships to establishments in 2009, bringing the total number of members to 155. The programme aims to assist the retail and food service sectors to achieve excellent standards in the provision of seafood and encourage the use of locally sourced, responsibly fished, quality seafood. Proprietor Nicholas Lynch, pictured above, is delighted with retaining the award: “We’ve always strived to provide our customers with top quality seafood and friendly advice, and we are particularly conscious that consumers are looking for value for money. Ashbourne may not be a coastal town, but that doesn’t mean we can’t provide some of the best seafood in the country to our customers, and we are very happy that this has again been recognised by BIM,” he said.
